Lost Coast Kennel Club (LCKC)

LCKC is the local American Kennel Club (AKC) club which holds many dog events throughout the year.

Events:

Spring AKC Scent Work Trial on the first weekend of May
July All Breed Show
- AKC Conformation ("Best in Show" for pure-breed dogs.)
- AKC Obedience (Obedience is all about crisp, exact walking patterns.)
- AKC Rally (Rally turns Obedience into a cheerful course following signs you and your dog navigate.)
- AKC Farm Dog (Welcoming low-pressure adventure that lets dogs show off their good manners around barnyard chaos and friendly critters.)
- AKC Fast CAT (Joyful 100-yard dash where your dog gets to run like the wind while everyone cheers them on!)
July Performance Cluster
- AKC Agility (A joyful obstacle course adventure where you and your dog cheer each other through every jump, tunnel and triumphant zoom!)
- AKC Fast CAT (100-yard dash for dogs: zoom!)
- Barn Hunt (Dogs navigate mazes of hay bales to locate tubed rats!)
Fall AKC Scent Work Trial over Labor Day weekend
AKC Fetch (A welcoming sport where dogs build confidence by racing out for a bumper and joyfully retrieving it right back to their favorite human.)
